Depending on the season and conditions, anglers commonly catch Red Drum, Black Drum, Sheepshead, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Tarpon, and Sharks in the waters around Pawleys Island.

No. Your fishing license is covered under our charter vessel permit, so you can simply step on the boat and start fishing.

Your charter includes fishing licenses, bait, tackle, and all necessary fishing equipment.

Just bring your drinks, snacks, sun protection, and get ready to enjoy your time on the water.

We recommend bringing:

• A small cooler with drinks or snacks

• Non-aerosol sunscreen

• A hat and polarized sunglasses

• Any personal items you may want during the trip

All fishing gear and tackle are provided.

Dress for the weather and keep in mind that temperatures on the water can feel about 10° cooler than on land.

We recommend:

• Layered clothing

• Comfortable shoes or deck shoes

• Bug spray during warmer months when insects can be active

Conditions can change throughout the day, so dressing in layers is usually best.

Pawleys Island Guide Service focuses heavily on catch and release to preserve the fishery.

• For other species, we follow a “keep enough for dinner” philosophy when regulations allow.

Yes. Fish cleaning can be arranged at the marina for an additional charge.

Our U.S. Coast Guard license allows up to 6 passengers.

For the best fishing experience:

• 2–3 anglers is ideal

Trips are conducted on a 24-foot Sea Pro 248DLX center console, a comfortable and capable boat designed for fishing the local waters safely and efficiently.

Yes. Sunset tours are available on the. Waccamaw, Black, and Pee Dee Rivers, which offer some of the most spectacular Lowcountry sunsets.

Sunset tours typically last 2–3 hours and run between 5:30 PM and 8:30 PM depending on the season.

Our ecotours explore the beautiful blackwater rivers, historic rice fields, and coastal wildlife habitats of the Lowcountry.

Wildlife sightings may include:

• Bald Eagles

• Osprey

• Great Horned Owls

• Swallow-tailed Kites

• Mississippi Kites

• Herons and Egrets

While the boat does not have an onboard restroom, we make accommodations when needed. Guests can use the swim ladder at the back of the boat or the side of the boat for privacy while others move to the opposite side of the boat.

Captain Kevin is experienced in making this as comfortable and discreet as possible.

Yes. Children are welcome and fishing trips can be a great experience for families.

For safety:

• All children under 12 are required to wear a life vest

• Children should always be supervised by a parent or guardian

Yes. We provide all rods, reels, bait, tackle, and fishing licenses needed for the trip.

You are also welcome to bring your own favorite rod or gear if you prefer.

Safety is always our top priority. If weather conditions are unsafe or unfavorable, we will work with you to reschedule your charter to the nearest available date.

Captain Kevin will stay in communication with you leading up to your trip.
